Mount Abu

Rajasthan’s only hill station, with the finest marble temples in India.

Mount Abu sits on a granite plateau in the Aravallis, about 1,200 metres high, on the border with Gujarat. It is green, cool and relaxed, and a favourite summer escape for families.

Its treasure is the Dilwara Jain temples, built between the 11th and 13th centuries, where the white marble is carved so finely it looks like lace. Guru Shikhar, the highest point in the Aravalli range, is a short drive away.
